Here, we’ve compiled answers to some of the most common questions about living with us. Whether you’re curious about amenities, policies, or the local area, you’ll find all the information you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!
The offer is valid for 2 days from the date of sending, and the signing period cannot be extended. However, we understand students have changing life circumstances so just drop us an email at info@anttikorppistudenthouse.fi if you would like to receive a new offer. There is no need to send a new application unless we specifically request it. Please note that a new offer may come for a different apartment, or in the busiest seasons (August-December) we may not have apartments available anymore.
We check the signature and make sure everything is in order with the contract. You will then receive a deposit invoice by email and, if your stay starts in the middle of the month, a rent invoice for the first month of your stay.
After that, you can join our Facebook and Telegram group to start getting to know your new neighbours — and don’t forget to follow us on Instagram @anttikorppi to stay updated on events and useful tips!

Yes, both open-ended and fixed-term contracts can be canceled in advance with a full calendar month’s notice (e.g. a contract starting on August 1 or August 15 must be terminated by 30.6.2025). If the termination is done according to the instructions, the deposit will be refunded. However, if the required notice period isn’t observed, we will charge one month’s rent. Read more here.
Yes, we do! For stays shorter than six months, we typically provide fixed-term contracts to make things easier for tenants, as notice periods won’t be a concern. While our housing is primarily intended for those staying at least five months—especially during the busiest semesters (August to December and January to May)—we’re happy to accommodate shorter stays if we have availability. The minimum rental period is one month.
You will know you have received a contract to sign if you have received an email from info@anttikorppistudenthouse.fi telling you that an offer has been sent to you. If you have used university email, the message may have been rejected for security reasons. If you have used a university email address, please forward your personal email to info@anttikorppistudenthouse.fi. Remember to check your spam!

An open-ended contract continues until you terminate it. To do so, please fill out the “Notice of Departure” form. Terminate your contract with a notice period of one full calendar month. A full calendar month means a period corresponding to one month of the calendar, starting on the first day of the month and ending on the last day of the month (for example, the 1st of May to the 31st of May is a full calendar month).
For example, to move out on May 31st, you must submit your notice by April 30th. Please be mindful with the timing—if you’re even one day late, your notice will be considered for the next calendar month, meaning your contract will end one month later than planned.
If you have a fixed-term contract, there is no need to give notice, as the contract will end automatically on the agreed date. However, once the contract has started, it cannot be terminated before the end date unless you pay a cancellation fee equal to one month’s rent.
According to Finnish rental law, the contracts always end on the last day of the month. This is a common and standard practice in Finland.
Open-ended contracts have no set end date and are ideal for residents planning longer stays. These contracts offer flexibility, and with this arrangement, the apartment remains reserved for the tenant until they choose to give notice of termination.
