Here, we have compiled answers to some of the most common questions about living with us. Whether you are curious about amenities, policies or the local area, you will find all the information you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to reach out.
The offer is valid for 2 days after the contract has been sent, and the signing period cannot be extended. However, we understand students have changing life circumstances so just send us an email at info@anttikorppistudenthouse.fi if you would like to receive a new offer. There is no need to send a new application unless we specifically request it. Please note that a new offer may be for a different apartment, or in the busiest seasons (August-December), we may no longer have any apartments available.
We check the signature and make sure everything is in order with the contract. You will then receive a deposit invoice by email and, if your stay starts in the middle of the month, a rent invoice for the first month of your stay.
You can then join our Facebook and Telegram group and start getting to know your new neighbours — and don’t forget to follow us on Instagram at @anttikorppi to stay updated on events and useful tips!
If your room is available, then yes. Just send an email to info@anttikorppistudenthouse.fi and let us know your new preferred move-in date. If you want to move in later than you originally requested and/or signed the contract to start, we can change the move-in date, but unfortunately, we cannot change the billing. If you want to move in earlier, you will be charged an additional fee.
Our rental contracts can be started either on the 1st or the 15th of the month. However, according to Finnish rental practice, contracts always end on the last day of the month.
You can move out earlier if you want, but the contract — and the rent payment — will continue until the agreed termination date.
Please note that fixed-term contracts cannot be terminated before the agreed end date without a penalty fee.

Yes, both open-ended and fixed-term contracts can be canceled in advance with a one-month notice period (e.g. a contract starting on August 1 or August 15 must be terminated by 30.6.2025). If the termination is done according to the instructions, the deposit will be refunded. However, if the required notice period isn’t observed, we will charge one month’s rent. Read more here.
Yes, we do! For stays shorter than six months, we typically provide fixed-term contracts to make things easier for tenants, as notice periods won’t be a concern. While our housing is primarily intended for those staying at least five months, especially during the busiest semesters (August to December and January to May), we’re happy to accommodate shorter stays if we have rooms available. The minimum rental period is one month. Please note that fixed-term contracts cannot be terminated before the agreed end date without a penalty fee.
You will know you have received a contract to sign if you have received an email from info@anttikorppistudenthouse.fi telling you that an offer has been sent to you. If you have used a university email address, the message may have been rejected for security reasons. If you have used a university email address, please forward your personal email to info@anttikorppistudenthouse.fi. Remember to check your spam folder!

An open-ended contract continues until you terminate it. To do so, please fill out the “Notice of Departure” form. Terminate your contract with a notice period of one full calendar month. A full calendar month means a period corresponding to one month of the calendar, starting on the first day of the month and ending on the last day of the month (for example, October 1st to October 31st is a full calendar month).
For example, to move out on June 30th, you must submit your notice by May 31st.
For fixed-term contracts, there’s no need to give notice, as the contract ends automatically on the agreed date. However, we appreciate you informing us of your planned departure date. Please note that for fixed-term contracts, early termination is not possible without a fee equal to one month’s rent.
Contracts always end on the last day of the month.
Open-ended contracts have no set end date and are ideal for residents planning longer stays. These contracts offer flexibility, and with this arrangement, the apartment remains reserved for the tenant until they choose to give notice of termination.
